I love rainy day's

I love rainy days. Except when I have to work. It is no fun building walls, aerating, mulching or otherwise generally maintaining peoples properties when it’s cold, dank and miserable outside. I would rather be: hanging out with the G-man and Pixie; or reading a good book; or playing the drums; or playing the guitar; or playing the bass; or playing the uke; or sleeping. Who the hell likes to work outside when it’s raining? I’ll tell you who: My boss. Either he likes to work in the rain or he is “trying to make money”. Geez, what a jerk.

What do you like to do on a rainy day?

Sit on my couch, vegetate and watch the whole batch of my 24 dvd's... Still planning to do so...

And ehm... You and *pixie* should hook up. You've got so much in common indeed. ;-)

Dutchy- I have never watched that show. Is it any good? Na, it would never work with Pixie and me, she has a kid.

- drinking a huge mug of hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows

- wrap myself into my favorite, cosy orange blanket, having nachos with cheese and guacamole, enjoying a good film

- in summer: go out and go swimming in a lake

I like to wake up to it raining. I wrote a haiku that I'm particularly proud of about that wonderful phenomenon. You can find it here, at my haiku site.

(Shameless self-promotion.)

Camp out on the couch, curled up next to the dogs, watching a bunch of old Bogart, Hepburn or Gene Kelly movies...

Julia- Those all sound like good things to do. I think I will call off work and have nachos for breakfast today.

TF- I stumbled upon
your blog full of Haiku poems
and I am impressed.

I need to write more poetry. At one point I wrote something everyday. Granted, it was all crap, but still...

Shades- Where's the popcorn and beer nuts?

Yeah, what I write is mostly crap, but there are a few gems in the feces.

And, how about this feature where I can subscribe to the comments on this post? That's kind of cool.

One of my favorite things to do in the rain is play soccer. It's a great sport for rain. When you live in Seattle you can't alter your life too much on account of rain. You'd never get outside.

TF- "Throw enough shit at the wall and some of it is bound to stick". That's what my Kindergarten teacher used to tell me. Subscribe to comments? I just write the post's, I don't maintain the site.

Egan- I don't mind the rain, I just hate my job.

As a blogger, aren't you supposed to hate your job? I think that's a requirement.

I like to sleep in and then have a couple naps, watch some TV, blog and play pogo. I hate going to work when its raining and I have an indoor job LOL. I just hate going out in the rain.

I dont hate my job but working for a living leaves much to be desired.

Egan- If only I could write full time...

Mel- Welcome to my little bowl!
Yes, working for a living isn't exactly my cup of tea...damn why am I so responsible!
